Waiting for You by Susane Colasanti
I have read one other book by Susane Colasanti (When it Happens). And, it was amazing.
At the beginning of her sophomore year, Marisa is ready for a fresh start and, more importantly, a boyfriend. So when the handsome and popular Derek asks her out, Marisa thinks her long wait for happiness is over. But several bumps in the road—including her parents’ unexpected separation, a fight with her best friend, and a shocking disappointment in her relationship with Derek—test Marisa’s ability to maintain her new outlook. Only the anonymous DJ, whose underground podcasts have the school’s ear, seems to understand what Marisa is going through. But she has no idea who he is—or does she?
Waiting for You was an incredibly sweet book. I read it when I was camping, and after I was done, all I wanted to do was re-read it.
Nash was amazing. A totally dream guy. I would have loved to know someone like him. Marissa's bond with her father is incredible, and I think everyone should be that close to their dad's.
Because I am a sucker for a good happy ending, this books ending really suited me!
Susane Colasanti is a wonderful author. Her writing makes you want to jump into her books and get to know all of her miraculous characters. I strongly recomend Waiting for You.
